We will be updating our email server on Sunday, July 11, 2010 starting at noon. Email will be back online by Monday, July 12, 2010, 8:00am. The changes to the server will result in several new enhancements! Key features of the new email server include: - Total control over layout, by dragging and dropping panels. - Drag 'n Drop messages and right click menus. - Offers Mail, Calendar, Contacts, Tasks, Storage and Notes. - A task bar lets you easily manage multiple open windows, much like on your desktop. - Horizontal or vertical message reading pane. - Keyboard shortcuts, including user-generated shortcuts. - A new fault tolerant hosting platform. - Increased Mailbox size, 100MB. - An integrated and more powerful junk mail management capabilities. - Instant Messaging via Webmail or as a downloadable application (PC and Mac support). - Desktop Email Notifier. Much like Outlook or Thunderbird alerts you to new emails. - Customer managed data restoration capabilities. One configuration change to facilitate the move to the new email platform will be required for anyone using an e-mail client such as Outlook, Outlook Express, and Thunderbird. SMTP Authentication will need to be enabled on your e-mail client. If your client is not configured for this already you will be unable to send mail. You can enable this now on your e-mail client as the current server already supports but does not require it.
